Throughout my career, I have successfully worked with domestic governmental departments/ agencies, as well as international financial institutions such as the World Bank, ADB, and USAID (while working as Social Development and Safeguard person at NESPAK, EMC, ECS and Public Private Partnership Support Facility), ensuring compliance with their safeguards. I have actively participated in stakeholder consultations on safeguard policy updates and have organized and conducted trainings on social safeguards, promoting the understanding of social integration and mainstreaming. My expertise extends to areas such as land acquisition, gender assessment, resettlement and rehabilitation policies, screening and management of social risks, and data collection through research methodologies.

I have a proven track record of influencing colleagues to mainstream gender equality into sectoral programs and policies. For instance, in my previous role, I successfully advocated for the inclusion of gender-responsive indicators in a large infrastructure project, resulting in improved access and opportunities for women and girls. By emphasizing the importance of gender analysis and consulting relevant stakeholders, I ensured that the project addressed the specific needs and challenges faced by women, ultimately leading to more inclusive and impactful outcomes.

In addition to my technical skills, I possess excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, and communication abilities. I am adept at working in cross-cultural teams and thrive in challenging and deadline-driven environments. My multi-tasking ability and responsiveness enable me to effectively handle multiple responsibilities under pressure.

I hold a Master of Arts in Sociology from the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore. I have also completed various trainings and certifications related to social and environmental management, including, Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM), Certified Public Private Partnership Professional (CP3P) – Foundation and Project Monitoring, Evaluation & Control.
